Humans and Animals - Chapter 5: Nomads and travelers meet with wild animals.

Food arises from nature that is shared with all animals not only belongs to humankind.

【The Little story 1】The wild animals are not usually aggressively attack humans.

A guide who loves outdoor activities told this story: There is a traveler who explores uninhabited lands. He said that it means you won't be prey if you are not nervous or do not flee when a wild animal of encountered. Normally or crabwise walk while was walking, and do not do any attack action. (For instance, holding sticks, firecrackers, or spraying irritating liquid.) Do not let animals feel the danger from you. Sometimes animals just sniff the smell and then leave by themselves. (Have maybe not taken a shower for many days? The smell is not good, and it is not its food by sniffing.)

Generally, wild animals are not usually aggressively attack humans. Because human flesh is not the staple food for animals. (Besides, it is said that human flesh tastes unsavory, but this does not know whose said.)

This There is a traveler who explores wilderness. traveler cherishes all the natural lives. He considered that do not use irritating liquids unless necessary. The liquid destroys their olfaction. Animals defend and forage depending on their olfaction. It almost kills them if they lose their sense of smell.

People prior enter uninhabited areas to travel due to curiousness or exploration. Encountering wild animals should be friendly to them and calmly leave. Some people had seen animals after entering and prior considered their lives were threatened. People had prior attacked animals in an uncertain situation and won. Therefore, the people who have experienced remind to bring some self-defense tools. (offensive weapons, irritating liquid)

They forgot one thing that is they entered areas that do not belong to humans at the beginning. Then, hurt animals for justifiable defense. Are they real explorers that had harmed the native species and then shared this experience?

The traveler of this story is the friendly treatment. Trips of the animal-friendly subject are the truly brave and kindly travelers.

【The Little story 2】Snow leopards, goats, vultures, wolves, and Tibetans.

Snow leopards, wolves, vultures are carnivores of the food web on the top in the Himalayas. Wild bharals of their prey become less because their living environment is damaged. Snow leopards start to hunt the Tibetans' livestock - goats.

There is a documentary in which were these characters (the little Tibetan boy, grandma, the nomad, snow leopards, goats, vultures, and wolves.) with these stories.

(1)The mother goat was killed by a snow leopard, and her baby became an orphan. This Tibetan family found another female goat to nurse this baby goat. This little Tibetan boy had been holding, kissing this baby goat, misty-eyed, worried a lot. He was afraid that the snow leopard would hunt the baby goat again. The boy who lived in nature naturally had the most original heart of mercy and protection. He thought to be a mother goat and would like to protect, to take care of this baby goat. (PS, the modern city children lack a merciful heart.) The children who live in the mountain areas or nature have more caring and are more friendly to animals.

(2)All grandma who lived in Tibetan were gracious to children, besides, they had the wisdom of living in nature. (PS, modern people lack this for children too.) They could know when vultures were circling above where there was a snow leopard was enjoying its hunted prey. Vultures were the next to enjoy the food; therefore, they patiently waited for the food while were circling in the sky. Such judgment must rely on the accumulated experience that can avoid conflict between humankind and wild animals.

(3)A snow leopard ate a goat, and next a wolf ate a part of the goat, and lastly, a vulture ate clean the decaying meat. Vultures are non-killing animals and not bad ones. (They just look not attractive.) They have a responsibility to eat up the rest of food from predators. Totally not a waste. Three kinds of carnivores are fed by a goat at the same time. This is a circulation in nature and totally makes the most of them. Vultures, snow leopards, and wolves can share food with each other. (A goat)

(4)There was a Tibetan family, who always had been worried about their goats would be eaten by snow leopards. Hope snow leopards would not appear here. This family took all half of a goat was eaten or bitten by snow leopards back home. Leaving nothing to snow leopards. Because snow leopards are a menace to them.
(Actually, general nomads who have this mentality are normality. There is no so-called correct or wrong.)

(5)There was another Tibetan family that one of their goats was eaten by the snow leopard. He saw a mother snow leopard with two cubs nearly the mountain areas. He thought it was fine for his 1~2 goats to be eaten by snow leopards. He hoped that snow leopards and he could continue to live in this natural land. Also, hoped that could continue to protect snow leopards.
(This Tibetan family was friendly treatment to animals. The nomad was willing to share food with snow leopards.)

Snow leopards prey quickly on confinement-rearing goats. One hit one kill. Immediately, the neck of a goat was bitten and which was more precise than a giving injection by nurses.
