【Geography】The Borders - Chapter 4: Human journey – Migration travel
In ancient times, in order to obtain a better source of food, mankind began a migration journey. The oldest trip of mankind, no itinerary, no plan, an unknown journey.
In ancient times, in order to obtain a better source of food, mankind began a migration journey. At that time, it was the ice age and the land was connected. There are 2 speculations.
Speculation 1: People living near the Himalayas in Asia began to migrate eastward to reach the American continent.
Some people migrated north to form a cultural circle of Inuit (Eskimos);
some others migrated to the central part to form an Indian cultural circle;
the others migrated to the south to form a cultural circle of South American aborigines.
Speculation 2: Legend has it that Tibetans and Indians had the same blood, and, what’s more surprising, they had similar prophecies.
Prophecy 1: “When iron eagles fly in the sky and the horses run on the land with their wheels, the holy monk will come to the land of the red man." predicted by Tibetans.
Prophecy 2: "When iron birds fly in the sky with a red robe, the Easterners who have lost their land will appear, and the two brothers will unite." predicted by Indians.
(Note: The iron eagle and iron bird should refer to the current airplane, and the horse with wheels probably refers to the current car. Perhaps, it means that the two ethnic groups were separated tens of thousands of years ago because of migration, and the development of transportation enables them to have a chance to reunite.)
From the speculation on the migration route and the legendary prediction, the two seem to be somehow related.

Legend of the Bison's Headless Valley - Version 1
Bison has a bad temper and likes to run on the grassland. In America, there is a place called "Bison Broken Head Valley". Bisons are very impulsive, and they often run too fast on the grassland and fail to brake when reaching the edge of the cliff. So there are many bison bones below. This is how the Valley got its name.
Legend of the Bison's Headless Valley - Version 2
The white people thought of a way to drive away from the Indians. If the bisons that the Indians depend on for their livelihoods were eliminated, the Indians would also leave. So the white people used deliberately drove the bisons with a loud noise. The frightened bisons began to run to the cliff, and then fell off the cliff. This is where the name of Buffalo Dutou Valley comes from.
The location of Bison's Headless Valley is approximately southwest of Canada, near the northwest border of the United States.
